Creative Studio Pop-up is a short-term retail space comprised of local artists and craftsman that share a unique, but common vision: to bring art to local communities and to celebrate the expression of art through various mediums.

Pop-up Location: The Creative Studio Pop-up will be hosted at the Prince Gallery. Prince Gallery is an alternative exhibition space that exists to further and support the work of the Bay Area’s best emerging and established local artists. The space is approximately 725 square feet and is located in the heart of Downtown Petaluma. It’s a first floor store-front space with large windows, concrete floors, and lots of natural light.

Pop-up Dates/Times:
General: Week of August 5th – 12th
The Creative Studio Pop-up was stratgically planned to fall on the same week/weekend as the 2nd Saturday Downtown Petaulma Art Walk occurring the evening of August 9th.
Setup Date/Time: August 5, 9:00am – 6:00pm
Setup starts at 9:00am and needs to be completed by 6:00pm. Artists may come and leave at any time during the day, but need to complete their set-up no later than 6:00pm.
Tear-Down Date: August 11, 9:00am
Tear-Down starts at 9:00am and needs to be completed by 5:00pm. Artists may come and leave any time during the day, but need to complete their tear-down no later than 5:00pm. Any personal property or articles left in the Prince Gallery space after the tear-down date will be discarded. We are not responsible for items left in the gallery space after 9:00pm on August 11th.
All artists must be present at some point during the set-up and tear-down dates/times. All artists are responsible for providing and setting up their own art and displays. Setup supplies will not be provided, so all artists need to bring their own set-up equipment including scissors, price tags, tape, hanging strips for damage free hanging, display tables/props, leave behinds and business cards with holders etc.
Show Dates: August 5th – 10th
All artists are responsible to work in the retail space for a minimum of 2 days during show hours. There will need to be 2 artists working the retail space per day. Schedule TBD. The working artists are responsible for opening the space to the public, collecting and documenting retail sale money, answering customer questions and closing the space.

Artist Reception Gala Date/Time: Sat., August 9th from 5:00pm – 8:00pm
Artist entry fee includes an Artist Reception Gala during the Petaluma Art Walk hours. Wine and appetizers will be served. The reception will be open to the public and artist attendance is optional. Sales
Creative Studio Pop-up supports local artists and craftsman. Each artist keeps 100% of their sales, minus credit card transaction fees. The Creative Studio Pop-up will only accept credit card payments via Square which deposits into a central account. At the end of the event, each artist will receive a sales transaction list and payment in full for all of their goods sold, minus credit card transaction fees. Artists will be paid in full no later than August 26th.
Promotion
Artist entry fee includes promotional activities/campaigns. Artist bios will be featured on the event site, Prince Gallery blog, and in the Prince Gallery Newsletter. http://prince.gallery/

The show will also be listed in several local newspapers and flyers will be posted in local businesses throughout Marin and Sonoma County. Links to artist websites and online stores will be posted on the online event announcement at: http://lkost1980.wix.com/creativestudiopopup
The event will be referenced in online event calendars and a press release will be sent out prior to the event to geo-target online.
Insurance
Artist entry fee includes event insurance in the event that art is stolen, damaged or causes injury to visitors of the space.
Artist Entry Fee
Artist entry fee is $100. An electronic invoice will be submitted to the artist via Paypal. Payment is due no later than July 15th. Entry fee includes promotion, insurance, space rental and Reception Gala. No artist is guaranteed entry into the space until the entry fee is paid in full.
Refunds
Each show is curated with a select group of local talent in mind in order to create a collaborative and intriguing space for visitors. The show is designed with these artists in mind and attendance is essential for the experience. Unfortunately, no entry fee refunds will be offered if an artist chooses not to take part in the show.
